Mildred Griffin

Mildred S. Griffin was born December 4, 1908 at Chicago, Illinois to Mr. & Mrs. John Henry Schutte. She married Joseph H. Griffin on October 31, 1935 at Crown Point, Indiana. She had two bachelor degrees and a master degree in School Administration. She worked for the Chicago Board of Education for 36 1/2 years as a Teacher and Assistant Principal. She retired and moved to Arkansas from Park Ridge, Illinois. She was a member of Lake Norfork Presbyterian Church, a 50 year member of Order of Eastern Star, a member of Diamond Rebekah Lodge # 75, I.O.O.F. and a member of the Retired Teachers Association of Chicago. She passed away on August 14, 2004 at Mountain Home at the age of 95 years, 8 months and 10 days. Preceded in Death by: her husband in 1996 Burial: Private burial in Acacia Park Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois.
