Mildred Riemer

Mildred D. Riemer was born August 6, 1912 at Ridgeville Corners, Ohio to Albert F. and Emma Sonnenberg Wesche. She married Reverend Elvin J. Riemer on August 11, 1940 at Napoleon, Ohio and was a graduate of the Fort Wayne Lutheran School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse at the Old Heller Memorial Hospital from 1933 to 1940. She moved to Mountain Home in 1977 from Youngstown, New York. Mildred was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, the Redeemer Ladies Guild and Cheer and Fun Clubs. She was a member of the Valpariso University Guild and was a New York State 4H Leader and instructor for 25 years. She passed away Friday, July 27, 2007 at the Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home at the age of 94 years, 11 months and 21 days. Survivors: Mildred is survived by one son: Ronald Riemer and his wife Ann of Kodiak, Alaska One daughter Joan Riemer of Chicago, Illinois, Ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren and one sister: Norma Ernest of Napoleon, Ohio. Preceded in Death by: She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son Reverend Jerry A. Riemer, and two brothers Herman and Otis Wesche. Visitation: A visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Funeral: A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Mountain Home with Reverend Kenneth Taglauer officiating Burial: Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Napoleon, Ohio on Saturday, August 4, 2007. Memorials: Memorials may be made to Stephens Ministry at Redeemer Lutheran Church.
