A Celebration of Life for Mildred R. Schultheis of Gamaliel, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm Friday, September 9, 2011, at the Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Mildred died Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at Baxter Regional Medical Center, at the age of 88. She was born May 5, 1923, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Augustave and Mary Kalivoda. She married Norman Schultheis on October 4, 1947, at Chicago, Illinois and worked as a Postmaster for the United States Postal Service in Gamaliel for 10 years. Mildred lived in Gamaliel since 1960 moving from Chicago. She loved to play cards with her friends at the Van Metre Senior Center.
Mildred is survived by her friend, Connie Drabek of Gamaliel, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother and 1 sister. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas, Inc., 2656 Hwy. 201 North, Mountain Home, AR 72653. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
