A Celebration of Life for Mildred “Mitzie” Lorraine Zeise Wilson, 79, will be 11AM, Wednesday April 23, 2014, at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Mountain Home, AR. Family will receive friends at the church from 10AM until time of the service. Mitzie passed away April 20, 2014, surrounded by her family during her favorite time of the year, Easter, a time of rebirth and the dogwood trees blooming in the Ozarks.
Mitzie was born April 11, 1935, in Pittsburgh, PA to Herman and Bertha Zeise. She graduated from Clairton, PA High School in 1953. Mitzie moved to Orlando, Fl in 1957and worked until 1986 at Martin Marietta Corporation (later known as Lockheed Martin) as an administrative assistant. She married Donald C. Wilson November 25, 1959, in Orlando, Florida. She retired in 1986, moved to Mt. Pleasant, IA and in 1990 moved to Flippin , AR. During retirement Mitzie and husband, Don enjoyed traveling in their motor home and spending their winters in Texas. Mitzie enjoyed crafts such as needlework, cross-stitch and paper toleing. She was a member of the St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Mountain Home, AR. Mitzie will be missed by family and friends across the country.
Mitzie is survived by step-daughter, Deborah Barbeln (Tom) of Wilmington, NC; three grandsons, Damian (Gina), Dustin, Derek (Megan) Hofmann and one great-grandson, Hunter.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald, and step-daughter, Lyndell Wilson.
In Lieu of Flowers, Memorials may be made to Hospice House of the Ozarks or Wounded Warriors.
