A Funeral Service for Minnie Irene Lueker of Longmont, Colorado, formerly of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:30 am, Saturday, December 8, 2018, at St. John's Lutheran Church, in Lafe, Arkansas, with Pastor Aaron Neugebauer officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, December 8, 2018, from 10:30 am until service time, at the church.
Minnie passed away November 28, 2018, in Longmont, Colorado, at the age of 96. She was born February 27, 1922, in Lafe, Arkansas, the daughter of William and Minnie Gerdes. She married Reverend Carl Lueker on July 28, 1946, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lafe, Arkansas. Minnie was a resident of Mountain Home, Arkansas since she moved from Clarinda, Iowa in 1986. She was a pastor's wife and lived in Granite, Oklahoma; Breckenridge, Oklahoma; Alexandria, Indiana; Wichita, Kansas; Clarinda, Iowa; and Mountain Home, spending her last three plus years at Berthoud, Colorado, where she lived with her daughter, Karen Spinuzzi. She is now in Heaven, fishing with her husband and all her brothers and sisters.
Minnie is survived by her three daughters, Karen (Dan) Spinuzzi of Berthoud, CO, Esther (Ken) Hass of Memphis, MI, and Lois (Randy) Joslyn of Coralville, IA; son, Carl (Sharyn Lueker, Jr of LaGrange, TX; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, and five brothers.
Burial will be in the St. John's Church Cemetery, in Lafe, Arkansas, with Kim Tritch, Mark Lueker, Greg Gerdes, Ronald Harvey, Kevin Redick, Caden Lueker, Jeremy Street, and David Branch as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Tritch, Orin Tritch, Benny Lueker, and Gary Gerdes.
