Funeral Services for Misa Clapp of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 AM, Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Kirby Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Nancy Taylor officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 - 5:00 PM on Friday, August 21 at Kirby Funeral Home Chapel. Misa Clapp died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 in Mountain Home at the age of 78. She was born February 11, 1931 in Hokaido, Japan and married William G. Clapp on October 16, 1961. Misa lived in Mountain Home since moving from Chicago, Illinois in 1989. She moved to the United States in 1953 where she owned a restaurant while living in Chicago. Misa excels in sewing, making her own clothes, cooking, and the Japanese art called Bunka. She is survived by her husband, William G. Clapp, 2 Step Brothers, 2 Step Sisters, and several Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
