A Celebration of Life for Monique Jacoba Robinson of Fairview, Arkansas will be at 11AM Wednesday September 15, 2010 at Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services in Bull Shoals, AR with Brother Vince Daniels officiating. Monique passed away September 3, 2010 at St. John?s Hospital in Springfield, Mo. Monique was a long time resident of California and moved to Fairview, Arkansas to be closer to her recently deceased son Robert and his family. She was 73 years old.
Monique was born October 3, 1936 at Galdrop, Holland to Johnnes and Elizabeth Adriaans Vangerwen. She was one of thirteen children. Monique was always inquisitive and adventurous. She immigrated to the United States in the mid 1950?s where she raised two children with her husband. Monique and her family traveled much of the world enjoying tennis, boating, skiing and all things outdoors together. She was a model in her younger years and enjoyed, embroidery, gardening and playing Mah Jongg.
Monique is survived by her twelve siblings; son, Mark of South Lake Tahoe, CA, daughter-in-law, Frances Robinson of Fairview, AR; three grandchildren, Daniel of Fairview, AR, Mellisa Robinson and Fiancée Chris Jorsch and Heather Robinson and Fiancée, Ray Spangler of Mountain Home, AR and five grandchildren, Christopher, Grace, Whitney, C.J. and Ethan.
