A Funeral Service for Muriel Marie Birchler of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Pastor Dave Gadbaw officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time at the church.
Muriel passed away April 21, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 78. She was born February 23, 1934, in Lenzburg, IL, the daughter of Arkell and Ella Gaebelt Bollmeier. She married Robert Birchler on August 22, 1953, at Peoria, IL, and was a homemaker. Muriel lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1983, moving from Washington, IL. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
Muriel is survived by her husband, Robert Birchler, of Mountain Home, AR; son, Craig Birchler, of Fort Smith, AR; daughter, Julie Alameda, of O'Fallon, MO; sister, Laverna Bollmeier Koviak, of St. Louis, MO; half-brother, Arkell Bollmeier, of New Athens, IL; half-sister, Erna Bollmeier Seiber, of New Athens, IL; four grandchildren, Jessica Birchler, Alexander (Annie) Alameda, Andrea Alameda, and Amanda (Nathan) Crouch and one great-granddaughter, Emily.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Mark Robert Birchler.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, AR, with Craig Birchler, Alex Alameda, Josh Larson, Larry Siber, Arkie Bollmeier, and Gary Blackledge as pallbearers.
