Myrl Irene Basye

A Funeral Service for Myrl Irene Basye of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Patrick Norris officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 4, 2018, from 5:00 until 8:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.

Myrl passed away August 25, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 101. She was born December 20, 1916, in Bernie, Missouri, the daughter of Willie and Lillie Foley Doyel. She married Jack Williams on December 24, 1938, in St. Louis, Missouri. Together, they had two children, Janet and Jimmy, while she worked for Shiawasee County, Michigan. Jack passed away in 1970. In 1984, Myrl married George Katzmarek in Beaverton, Michigan. George passed away in 2006 in Alamo, Texas. Myrl lived in Mountain Home since moving from Lyons, Kansas, in 2008. After moving to Mountain Home, she met and married Edwin Bayse. Ed passed away in 2015. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, traveling, crocheting, and especially loved to visit with friends and family.

Myrl is survived by her daughter, Janet (Charles) Nichols of Miramar Beach, FL; son, Jimmy (Zaidee) Williams of Flippin, AR; four grandchildren, Julie (Kevin) McClure, Carol (Scott) Geier, Troy Williams, and Stephanie Cornilius; nine great-grandchildren, Brandon (Ray) Barrientez, Bethany Barrientez, Kaitlyn McClure, Kari McClure,Jack McClure, Kallie Geier, Kori Rogers, Kara (Victor) Ramirez, and Kaia Rogers; and one great-great-grandson, Bernard Barrientez.

Burial will be 11:00 am, Saturday, September 8, 2018, in the Byron Cemetery, Byron, Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Elmcroft Assisted Living, Hospice of the Ozarks, or any charity of your choosing.
