A Funeral Service for Sarah Nadine Lofton of Calico Rock, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Pleasant Valley Community Church, with Rev. Donnie Speak officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 29, 2013 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm, at Pleasant Valley Community Church.
Nadine passed away October 26, 2013, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, at the age of 80. She was born May 23, 1933, in Mountain Home, Arkansas, the daughter of Willie and Ovia Kirkland Stone. She married Lucian Lofton on December 24, 1974, at Cotter, Arkansas and worked in a cannery in Michigan. Nadine lived in Calico Rock since moving from Finnville, Michigan in 1972. After returning back to Arkansas, she worked privately cleaning homes, as well as working at Kirby and Roller Funeral Homes. She was a member of the Mountain Home Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, sewing, gardening and spending time at the farmer's market in Mountain Home.
Nadine is survived by her three sons, Leon (Sherry) Williams of Mayflower, AR, Lynn (Mary) Williams of Flippin, AR, and Danny (Elizabeth) Williams of Fayetteville, AR; six grandchildren, Bonnie (William) Ross of Conway, AR, Cody Williams of Austin, TX, Brent (Amanda) Williams of Dallas, TX, Daniel (Melissa) Williams of Golf Shores, AL, Chadd (Chrissy) Williams of Springdale, AR, and Christopher Williams of Fayetteville, AR; and ten great-grandchildren, Paige, Preston, and Carson Ross, Jaxson and Hunter Williams, Lilly and Jackson Christiansen, and Carter, Eathan, and Jax Travis Williams.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband, brothers and sisters, and grandson, Travis Williams.
Burial will be in the Staggs Cemetery, Calico Rock, Arkansas, with Ronnie Whiteaker, J.W. Fountain, Ralph Ingram, Mark Hayse, Rodney Jennings, and Robert Parker as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of North Central Arkansas.
