Nancy Bernard

Nancy Ann Bernard of Midway, Arkansas, passed away September 21, 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 81. She was born April 23, 1943, in Zeigler, Illinois, the daughter of Robert and Ann Beavers Lee. She worked as a cashier for many years. Nancy lived in Midway since moving from St. Petersburg, FL in 2020. She loved to be anywhere there was a gathering. Nancy always kept a close-knit group of friends that she loved to laugh with. She was a loving mom and grandma, and was always there for her family and friends.

Nancy is survived by her children, Rick (Carol) Jay of Midway, AR, daughter, Jana Leffler of Virginia Beach, VA, and son, Brian Jay of Lemont, IL; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard D. Jay; second husband, Leslie G. Bernard; and parents. 

A Memorial Mass for Nancy will be 10:00 am, Monday, September 30, 2024 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Burial will be 12:30 pm, Tuesday, October 1, 2024 in the Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville, AR.
