Funeral Services for Neil Bernard Marth, 76, of Gamaliel, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am Saturday, August 27, 2011, at One-O-One Presbyterian Church, with Pastor James Keyes officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until service time at the Church.
Neil died Thursday, August 25, 2011, at his residence. He was born December 30, 1934, in Chicago, IL, the son of Barney and Luella Lange Marth. He married Geraldine Cole Howard on August 2, 2003, at Mountain Home, Arkansas and was a retired Tool and Die Maker. Neil Marth was a U.S. Army veteran and lived in Gamaliel, Arkansas since 1997, moving from Crystal Lake, Illinois. He was an avid camper, woodworker, ham radio operator, photographer and enjoyed hiking in the mountains of Colorado. He was a member of Good Sam?s Camping Club.
Neil is survived by his wife, Gerry Marth of Gamaliel, AR; son, Neil R. Marth of IL; daughter, Carol (Dwight) Byrd of Gamaliel, AR; grandson, Bryan Wymore; step-grandchildren, Chris and Bobby Howard, Michael and Heather Ivens and Timmy Keplinger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Joan Marth, half-brother, Wayne Jouron and half-sister, Noreen Jouron.
Burial will be in the Maynard Bend Cemetery with Dwight Byrd, Chris Howard, Bobby Howard, Michael Ivens, Heather Ivens and Timmy Keplinger as pallbearers.
Memorials may be made to the One-O-One Presbyterian Church or Hospice of the Ozarks.
