Nixie Coy

Nixie Rudean Coy of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away December 19, 2022, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 65. She was born April 27, 1957, in Calico Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of Earnest and Martha Jane Teegarden. She married Rick Coy on June 1, 1974, in Norfork, Arkansas. Nixie worked as a Headstart teacher for Ozark Opportunities. She enjoyed quilting and gardening. Nixie especially loved family trips to Florida.

Nixie is survived by her mother, Martha Jane Teegarden of Mountain Home; husband, Rick Coy of Mountain Home, AR; son, Calvin (Vicki) Coy, daughter, Rekedene of Rodney, AR; brothers, Earnest Teegarden of Norfork, AR, and Herman Teegarden of Norfork, AR; grandchildren, Hannah Golden, Izaak Golden, and Malori Coy; and great-grandchildren, Asher Hicks, and Lily Horton.

She was preceded in death by her; father, Earnest Dwight Teegarden; and brother, Willis Teegarden.

A Memorial Service for Nixie will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Keith Byrd, officiating.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
