A Celebration of Life for Norma G. Westervelt of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Friday, April 7, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Flippin, with Reverend Aaron Lindsey, officiating.
Norma passed away April 1, 2017, in Bull Shoals, Arkansas at the age of 78. She was born October 9, 1938, in Alpena County, MI, the daughter of Albert and Edna Hasse Kemnitz. She married Harold Westervelt on January 28, 2002. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Flippin . Norma loved her garden and cooking. She was a "champion" nurturer and loved nothing more than making food for others. She was a wonderful mother and the best wife ever.
Norma is survived by her husband, Harold Westervelt of Bull Shoals, AR; children, Michael Thiem of CO, Pamela (Kim) Preston of Duluth, MN and Ronna Neff of VA; sisters, Irma (Ron) Genschaw, Gladys (John) Anderson and Nelda (Mike) Hoffer all of MI; brother, Howard (Earlene) Kemnitz of VA; brother-in-law, Bob (Joyce)Westervelt of TN; stepchildren, Mary Katherine (Stan) Pothoff of CO, Margaret (Paul) Soloman of NC, Harold (Terry) Westervelt of MD, Walter (Judith) Westervelt of Germany, and Emily (Douglas) Johnson of MD; 8 grandchildren; 15 step-grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 4 step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Ronald Thiem and 6 siblings.
