Services for Norman Edward Lewis of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, January 13, 2013 at the First Freewill Baptist Church. Norman passed away December 27, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 80. He was born August 22, 1932, in Vanceburg, Kentucky, the son of Clarence and Georgia Cooley Lewis. He married Carole Drennan on December 15, 1981. He retired from civil service for the Department of Defense, spending his last five years in Germany. Norman was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and lived in Mountain Home for twenty years, moving from Illinois. He was an active member of the First Freewill Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, cooking and laughing. Norman is survived by his wife, Carole Lewis of Mountain Home, AR; three sons, John Lewis of Germany, David Lewis of Midway, AR and Edward Lewis of Lake Charles, LA, one daughter, Angelia Lloyd of Clarkridge, AR and one brother, Larry Tanner of Ft. Meyers, FL; three step-children, Doug Wilson of Flippin, AR, Sherry Wilson of San Diego, CA and Gina Reyes of Las Vegas, NV. He was preceded in death by his parents and stepson, Leo Ralph Boyd. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
