Norman Terrel

Funeral services for Norman R. Terrel of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 11:00A.M. Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor James Keyes officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00A.M. until service time.

Norman died Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Mountain Home, at the age of 87. He was born October 22, 1923 in Broadview, Illinois, the son of Ward E.L. and Eleanora H. Hinkle Terrel. He married Geraldine "Geri" Foster on February 28, 1976 at Bellwood, Illinois. He worked as an Electric Utility Forman for Commonwealth Edison for 30 years. Norman Terrel was a U.S. Air Force veteran having flown 15 missions over Japan during WWII as a bombardier. Norman lived in Gamaliel and Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1979 moving from Villa Park, Illinois. He was a member of One-O-One Presbyterian Church.

Norman is survived by his wife, Geri of Mountain Home; 2 sons, Alan (Elizabeth) Terrel of West Chicago, IL and Brian Terrel of Coal City, IL; 2 sisters, Viola B. David of Colorado Springs, CO and Eleanor Terrell of Huntley, IL and 5 grandchildren, Robert J., Joseph M., Kristina M., Christopher A. and Allysan E. Terrel.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ward Terrel.

Graveside services will be 10:00AM, Monday, January 17, 2011 at the Chapel Hill Gardens, Oak Brook Terrace, Illinois.

Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
