Norman Harold Wallace, 80, of Bull Shoals, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025, at his home. Born on May 3, 1944, in Glendale, California, he was the son of Alvie and June (Nickels) Wallace. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Archer in 1968.
A proud U.S. Air Force veteran, Norman served during the Vietnam War. After his service, he worked as a steelworker for Armco Steel. In 1978, he moved to Bull Shoals from Independence, Missouri, where he continued his work ethic, owning and operating Norm's Electric and J & N Golf Cart. Norman also worked as a marine mechanic at the Bull Shoals Boat Dock for many years, further contributing to his community.
Norman was a dedicated member of several local organizations, including the Bull Shoals-Lakeview Rotary, the Bull Shoals Volunteer Fire Department, and the Working Man's Golf League, which he founded at Rivercliff Golf Course. He also served the community as the Bull Shoals and Marion County Building Inspector and as a City Councilman for Bull Shoals.
Above all, Norman was a devoted family man, whose love and dedication to his wife, Phyllis, and their children and grandchildren were his greatest joys in life.
Norman is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Jean Wallace; son Bobby (Vivian) Wallace; daughter Stacey (Rocky) George; grandchildren Justin (Bobbi Jo) Wallace, Jordan (John) Layton, Nicholas Romine, Natalie (Kolby) Gardner, and Grace Romine; and great-grandchildren Kade Wallace, Lane Wallace, and another Layton on the way. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Robert, James, Lowell, and Curly; and sisters Diane Birk and Jennifer.
