Ordin Berge

Ordin I. Berge was born May 20, 1918 at Joliet, Illinois to Iver and Olga Viga Berge. He married Leola Keto on August 28, 1941 at Joliet, Illinois. Mr. Berge was a machinist for U.S. Steel for 36 years. Ordin Berge was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy and has lived in Mountain Home since 1977 moving here from Joliet. Mr. Berge was a member of Ozark VFW Post #3246, American Legion Harwood Post #5 in Joliet and Independent Order of Foresters Court #1103 and loved to fish. Mr. Berge was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church. Survivors: His wife, two daughters, Di Ann Remaks (Richard) of Alto, New Mexico and Kathleen Cargle (Bernard) of Clovis, California. Two sisters; Olga Erickson of Lemont, Illinois and Barget Knutson of Galeon, Ohio. Five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in Death by: His parents, two brothers and two sisters Visitation: was held on May 4 at Mountain Home and will be from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Messiah Lutheran Church. Funeral: Funeral Services were held at The Redeemer Lutheran Church in Mountain Home on May 5, 2004 with Reverend Kenneth Taglauer and Reverend David Nygard officiating. Additional services are to be held in the Messiah Lutheran Church in Joliet, Illinois on Saturday May 8, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. Burial: Entombment will be in Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum.
