A Funeral Service for Orvetta Doretha Yandell Carle of Cotter, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Bishop Tom Fox officiating.
Orvetta passed away March 5, 2014, in Cotter, Arkansas at the age of 91. She was born January 16, 1923, in Blue, Oklahoma, the daughter of Andy and Elzora Yates Yandell. She married Homer Carle in December 1960, in Houston, Texas and worked as a Secretary. Orvetta lived in Cotter since 1985, moving from Houston. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints. She enjoyed gardening, loved her cats and the church was a very important part of her life.
Orvetta is survived by her grandchildren, Donna Odom of Pittsburgh, PA; Robin Odom of New York, NY; Mark (Tina) Odom of San Francisco, CA; Lisa (Robby) Mullins of GA; Cindy Bridges of GA; Dana Bridges of GA; and friend/caregiver of many years, Darrell Bennett
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Homer Carle; one son, one daughter and several brothers and sisters.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, AR.
Memorials may be made to Humane Society of North Central Arkansas.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
