A Memorial Service for Orville D. Morris of Norfork, Arkansas, will be 11:00 am, Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Bethel Springs Mennonite Church, County Road 73, Calico Rock, Arkansas, with Pastor Ed Morgan officiating.
Orville passed away May 23, 2016, in Norfork, Arkansas at the age of 83. He was born January 10, 1933, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, the son of Douglas and Sadie Daniels Morris. He married Nancy Thomsen on December 8, 1951, at Waukegan, Illinois, and worked in construction. Orville lived in Norfork since moving from Rockford, Illinois, in 1995. He was a member of the Laborers Local #32 and enjoyed working on cars, hunting, fishing, going to flea markets and auctions, and watching NASCAR.
Orville is survived by his son, Timothy Morris of Iuka, AR; six daughters, Cindy (Harry) King of Stillman Valley, IL, Sheila Morris of Calico Rock, AR, Kim Beaman of Rockford, IL, Scarlet Massingill of Elizabeth, AR, Wendy (Paul) Mills of Machesney Park, IL, and Tracy (Billy) Comstock of Viola, AR; two brothers, Tennes Morris of Rockford, IL, and Jack (Marge) Morris of Durand, IL; sister, Judy (John) Swartz of Beach Park, IL; 19 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents; wife; two daughters, Victoria Morris and Deborah Lamb; and three sisters, Marge Samuelian, Myrt Dupree, and Donna Holland.
Memorials may be made to Bethel Springs Mennonite Church.
