Osborn Gavel

Osborn Gavel died Thursday, December 4, 2008 in Flippin at the age of 78. He was born Friday, May 30, 1930 in New Market, New Hampshire, the son of Loren and Lucille Thereault Gavel. He married Phyliss Hilton on February 4, 1950 at Sanford, Maine and worked as a machinist in the aircraft industry. Osborn lived in Flippin since 1994 moving from Sumner, Washington. He loved to golf and go bowling. He was easy going and traveled all over the country just to see what was out there. Survivors: Osborn Gavel is survived by his 3 sons, William Gavel of Auburn, WA, Douglas Gavel of Laguna Hills, CA, and Scott (Barbara) Gavel of Oahkosh, WI, 3 daughters, Deborah Powell, Flippin AR, Paula (Ray) Ward of Shawnee, OK and Karen (Barnie) Gavel of Sumner, WA and 10 grandchildren. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyliss Gavel, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Funeral: Services for Osborn Eugene Gavel of Flippin, AR, will be private. Memorials: Memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House.
