A Funeral Service for Otto Pollard, 79, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 12:00 pm, Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Kenneth Taglauer officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service.
Otto Pollard passed away Sunday, February 5, 2017. Otto was born April 25, 1937 in Blue Diamond, Kentucky, the fifth of seven children of Hagar and Rachel Pollard. Otto met his bride Betty (Dunteman) in high school. In 1960, they relocated from Indiana to Springdale, Ohio a suburb of Cincinnati. Otto was an inspector and supervisor at the Fernald plutonium enrichment site with the Department of Energy (National Lead Co.). Mr. and Mrs. Pollard retired to Mountain Home in 1993.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Faye and brothers, Chalmer and Randy.
He is survived by his wife Betty; children, Melinda Motley, Nelson (Rheanell) and Dan Pollard of Mountain Home; three grandchildren, Brandy Hogan, Zackary (Brandie) Pollard and Holly (Adrian) Denton; five great-grandchildren, Evan, Camden, Sawyer, Fynlee and Emory and three siblings, Bill (Ruth) Pollard, Dois Givan and Lois Henson all of Indiana.
