Funeral Service for Owen Thomas Ramey, 50, of Mountain Home, AR, will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at Glade Rock Chapel, with Reverend Donnie Speaks officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M., Tuesday, October 20 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Owen died Saturday, October 17, 2009 in Mountain Home. He was born December 2, 1958 in Flint, Michigan, son of James Howard and Mary Alice Ramey. He has lived in Mountain Home since 1977 moving from Mountain View, Arkansas. He enjoyed family and friends, hunting, fishing, and camping. Owen is survived by his wife, Eddie "Dee Dee" Burris of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Step-son, William Foster of Mountain Home, Arkansas, 4 Sisters, Qudonia Ivy of Mountain Home, Joylee McClendon of Newport, Robin Zelk of Norfork, and Rachel Friend of Mountain Home, 3 Grandchildren, William D., Skyler, and Tosha L. Foster, many nieces and nephews, and many friends that held a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, James Ramey and David Ramey. Burial will be in the Staggs Cemetery, Calico Rock, Arkansas with Kalab Darnell, Phillip Neel, Bobby Ramey, Jimmy Taylor, Jackie Foster, Roy Wood, Allen Courtway, and Justin Sweet as pallbearers and William C. Foster, Jr., Mitchell Pettit, and Cris Walker as honorary pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks Hospice House. Arrangements by Kirby & Family Funeral & Cremation Services.
