Patricia Ann Barkes

Funeral Services for Patricia Ann Barkes of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 17, 2014, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Norbert Rappold officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm until time of service at the funeral home.

Patricia passed away August 13, 2014, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 75. She was born October 20, 1938, in Aurora, Illinois, the daughter of William Farnham and Lillian Bendush Windisch. She married her best friend, Leonard "Sonny" Barkes on June 21, 1958, at Aurora, Illinois and was a homemaker. Patricia lived in Mountain Home since 1989, moving from Oswego, Illinois and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Leonard "Sonny" Barkes of Mountain Home, AR; three children, Lauri (Chuck) Martin of Mountain Home, AR, Nick (Tammie) Barkes of Mountain Home, AR and Peggy (Paul) Bower of Oswego, IL; step-sister, Carol (Jack) Rosenstiel of Plano, IL; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several sisters and brothers-in-law; several nieces, nephews, cousins and special aunt, Ester Bendush of California.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, William Windisch; brother, Richard Farnham and step-brother, William Windisch, Jr.

Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home Arkansas, with Chuck Martin, Paul Bower, Chris Martin, Tim Walach, Brian VanDeVeire and Andy Gann as pallbearers.
