Patricia Jean Cox

Patricia “Pat” Jean Cox, 84, died peacefully Tuesday, May 12, at Williams Bay Care Center, in WI, under the care of Hospice Advantage with loving family near.
Born September 29, 1930, in Woodstock, IL, she was the daughter of Patrick and Laurine (Nestor) Mahoney.

On May 14, 1960, she was united in marriage to Ray Cox. They raised three sons, James, Joseph and John. The family lived in Chicago, IL and spent summers in Powers Lake, WI. After raising their family, Pat and Ray moved to Mountain Home, AR.
Pat worked as a legal secretary at Rappaport & Meyer in Chicago, IL, and as a typist at Baxter Bulletin in Mountain Home, AR.

She loved spending time with family and friends, fishing, playing bingo, horse racing and playing cards.

She is survived by: her sons, James Cox, of San Tan Valley, AZ, Joseph Cox, of Mountain Home, AR, and John (Colleen) Cox, of Chicago, IL; four grandchildren, Christopher, Tanner, Emma and Brian; a brother, Joseph (Sue) Mahoney, of Mountain Home, AR; and two sisters, Beth Ann Smith, of Prescott, AZ and Maureen May, of Prescott, AZ. She is also an aunt and friend to many.

She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband Ray; brothers James and David Mahoney; sisters Therese Cline and Katherine Mahoney; and brothers-in-law Don Cline, Bruce Smith and Donald May.
