Patricia Melson

Patricia B. Melson was born in Kanawha, IA, the daughter of Harvey and Irene Larson Benson. She married Allie Gene Melson on June 7, 1969 at Greenville, NC. She had been a Professor at East Carolina University, Greenville, North Carolina. Patricia had lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1983 after moving from Virginia Beach, Virginia. She was the Past Chair of the Administrative Board; First United Methodist Church, Past President of the local and district UMW; Past President of the Welcome Club Alumni, Volunteer tutor for the Literacy Council and a volunteer of the Mountain Home Chamber of Commerce. She also enjoyed reading, bridge, needlework, puzzles, and travel. In her travels she visited all seven continents. She passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the Gassville Nursing Center in Gassville, Arkanas at the age of 79 years, 4 months and 18 days.
