Patricia Edna Obszarny

Patricia "Pat" Obszarny of Gamaliel, Arkansas, passed away September 13, 2023, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 93. She was born September 14, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Kathryn Schlee. She worked as a bookkeeper for Evroy Drug Store for a short period. Pat was a mother of three and cared for the home. She married Thomas Obszarny on September 4, 1964, in Chicago, Illinois. The couple lived in Gamaliel, Arkansas since moving from Naperville, Illinois in 2015. She was a member of the GG, Gamamliel Girls and enjoyed spending time with them. Pat loved to garden and particularly enjoyed needlework.

Pat is survived by her husband, Thomas Obszarny of Gamaliel, AR; son, Terry Hagemeier of Gamaliel, AR; daughter, Madonna Sanders of Savannah, TN; sister, Carol Hutchison; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother; son, Lee Hagemeier; and brother, Robert Sells.

A Memorial Mass for Pat will be 10:00 am, Monday, September 25, 2023, at St. Peter The Fisherman Catholic Church, with Father Norbert Rappold officiating. Burial will follow at Maynard Bend Cemetery, Gamaliel, AR.
