Patricia Straw

Patricia Marie Straw was born June 3, 1931 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Leroy and Josephine Beno Carmichael. She was a school teacher and earned her B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1967. She graduated from Marinette County Teachers College with five children at home in 1962. She lived in Media, Pennsylvania prior to moving to Lakeview, Arkansas in 1989. She was a member of the Beno Family Organization, Bull Shoals Fishing Club, Bull Shoals United Methodist Church, Lakeview Community Club and a Co-Founder of the Lake Area Ambassadors. Patricia Marie Straw passed away at her residence on June 27, 2005, at the age of 74 years and 24 days. Survivors: Two sons, James (Martha) Johnson of Wasco, California, and Peter (Chong) Meyer of North Las Vegas, Nevada; three daughters, Reverend Victoria (Gerry) Schlintz of Atwater, California, Wendy Rosa of Fair Oaks, California, and Tammy (Michael) Duering of Lincoln University, Pennsylvania; and eight grandchildren Preceded in Death by: Parents; husbands, Robert Johnson, Dean Meyer and Richard Straw; one daughter, Jani Rae; one son, Daniel; one sister and one brother Funeral: A memorial service for Patricia Marie Straw of Lakeview will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at Bull Shoals United Methodist Church with Reverend Victoria Schlintz and Reverend Nicholas Lascaro officiating.
