Patty Underwood

Patty Underwood of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away January 12, 2023, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 90. She was born October 20, 1932, in Greenville, West Virginia, the daughter of Earl Mann and Ethel Johnson. She married Albert Underwood on October 27, in Virginia. The couple spent 71 years loving each other. She worked various jobs throughout her life in administration for District 88, Villa Park, Illinois. Patty lived in Mountain Home since moving from Bloomingdale in 1992. She was a member of the Elks Lodge and previously served as President. She also volunteered for Serenity and loved helping others. Patty was the matriarch of her family and was known to be sassy, but a true leader.

Patty is survived by her husband, Albert Underwood of Mountain Home, AR; children, Cathy Underwood of Mountain Home, AR, Ron Underwood of Mountain Home, AR, and Connie Meyer of Marengo, IL; grandchildren, Michael (Jackie) Underwood, Jamie Underwood, Kristin (Joe) May, Benjamin (Kristin) Underwood, Elizabeth (Douglas) Trader, Tom (Amber) Underwood, Donald Meyer, Alexander Meyer, Stacey (Kevin) Watry, and James Meyer; fifteen great-grandchildren; niece, Jill (John) Good; and nephew, Scott Mann.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sons, Thomas and Ed Underwood.
