Paul Geoffry Cooper of Flippin, Arkansas passed away at his home on August 15, 2023, at the age of 69. He was born on November 12, 1953, in Waukegan, Illinois, the son of George and Kathleen Hutchison Cooper. He married Rose Marie Monahan on June 10th, 1989, and lived in Flippin since moving from Zion, Illinois in 2006.
Paul proudly served his country as a veteran of the US Army, and owned and operated Cooper Sewer & Drain. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and was an avid drag racer. He relentlessly pursued his passion and was once told “you have to be on your A-game to beat Paul.” He cherished the friendships he made at the track through his final days.
Paul served as an inspiration to many as he battled pancreatic cancer for nearly 3 years. He fought with the heart of a warrior and routinely beat the odds, often to the astonishment of those caring for him. He proved that even in the face of darkness, you can shine light on those around you that will gleam into eternity.
Paul is survived by his wife, Rose Cooper of Flippin, AR; mother, Kathleen Cooper of WI; sons, Tyler (Sherry) Graham of PA and Jared Cooper of AR; grandchildren, Nathan Graham and Bennett Graham; brothers, Patrick (Sharon) Cooper of WI, Joseph (Suzanne) Cooper of MN, Thomas (Kathy) Cooper of AZ, Peter (Vickie) Cooper of TN; sisters, Margaret Cooper of WI, and Susan (Glen) of WI.
He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Kathy Bienapfl.
Family services will be private. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks at 811 Burnett Dr, Mountain Home, AR 72653.
