Mr. Gossett died Monday, September 24, 2007 at Dora, Missouri. He was 79. Paul Gossett was born April 14, 1928 in Quincy, Illinois to William M. and Beulah P. Valeu Gossett. He was employed for 37 years in Rockford, Illinois in manufacturing management, retiring from the Rockford Company in 1993. Paul Gossett was a veteran of the Army Air Force during World War II and a member of the Illinois National Guard called to active duty for the Korean conflict. He was also a member of First Presbyterian Church of Mountain Home, the Svithoid Club and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #392 in Rockford, a past member of the Rockford Moose Lodge, S.M.S.F. Club and the Chicago Bears Football Club of Chicago. Survivors: his daughter, Marcia Foust Lyon and husband, Dean of Dora, Missouri; two sons, Mark Gossett of Rockford and Miles Gossett and wife, Valerie of Pecatonica, Illinois; two sisters, Leona Gibb of Galesburg, Illinois and Wilma Bauer of Stillman Valley, Illinois; 2 grandchildren, Mark Gossett Junior and Hayley Gossett; and a special family - the Dean Reynolds family of Cherry Valley, Illinois. Preceded in Death by: his parents and one sister - Dixie Gossett of Monmouth, Illinois.
