A Memorial Service for Paul Leo Hofmeister, Jr of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Thursday, September 20, 2018, at Alley-White American Legion Post #52, with Military Honors provided by the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 and United States Army Honor Guards.
Paul passed away September 17, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 87. He was born September 19, 1930, in Madison, Wisconsin, the son of Paul and Cecilia Vanek Hofmeister. He married Virginia White on October 11, 1958, in Washburn, Wisconsin and worked for A.O. Smith. Paul was a decorated U.S. Army veteran of Korean War. Paul lived in Mountain Home since moving from Wisconsin, in 1996. He was a member of the St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Paul is survived by his wife, Virginia Hofmeister of Mountain Home, AR; two sons, James (Donna) Hofmeister of Loveland, CO and Daniel (Denise) Hofmeister of Iron Ridge, WI; daughter, Louise (Russell Keith) Reagin of Acworth, GA; brother, David Hofmeister of New Braunfels, TX; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert.
Memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
