Paul Jonathan Sillence of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away November 18, 2024, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 74. He was born September 28, 1950, in Amityville, New York, the son of George Lester and Dora Sickler Sillence. Paul grew up on Long Island where he completed his career as a police detective. Throughout his 30 years with the Nassau County Police Department, Paul worked in narcotics and sate-of-the-art electronic surveillance equipment. He lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since moving from Seaford, New York in 2005. Paul enjoyed shooting guns and fishing at Gene's Trout Fishing Resort.
Paul is survived by his longtime friend and partner, Tony Lane of Mountain Home, AR; brothers, Ray (Susan) Sillence of New Port Richey, FL, Mark (Diana) of Asheville, NC, and Scott Sillence of Salesville, AR; son, Jamey (Cathy) Sillence of Bonaire, GA; daughter, Jennifer Sillence of Fort Collins, CO; daughter-in-law, Kristen Sillence of Rio Rancho, NM; previous wife, Linda Sillence of Fort Collins, CO; and grandchildren, James Heather and Ryan Sillence of Bonaire, GA, Raven and Cameron Sillence of Rio Rancho, NM, and Lilliana McMorrow of Fort Collins, CO.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Christopher Sillence.
