A Memorial Service for Paul Dewey Wearne of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Community Presbyterian Church in Forsyth, Missouri, with Pastor Dennis Winzenried officiating.
Paul, age 84, passed away in Mountain Home Arkansas on August 17, 2016. He was born May 14,1932, to Dewey and Ruth Blake Wearne in Bloomfield, Nebraska. He was the youngest of three brothers and a sister.
After serving in the Korean War, Paul married his sweetheart, Ramona Carr. They had two daughters, Sally Reimer and Kay Geist. Paul turned his avid interest in cars into a career, owning a body shop in Bloomfield, then Council Bluffs, Iowa and finally in Reeds Spring, Missouri.
After losing his wife to cancer in 1993, Paul met and married Patricia Carter in 2004. Pat's wonderful family greatly expanded his original family.
Paul had a love for camping, boating and anything on wheels. He was known for taking short drives that ended up many hours later in another state. He adopted countless cats and dogs through the years and always had more vehicles than family members. He was a loyal friend, always ready to help. Paul was a Christian man and a member of the First United Methodist Church where he attended regularly. He was a wise and loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed.
