Peggy Yancey

Peggy Yancey of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away May 3, 2023, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 81. She was born August 24, 1941, in Brookport, Illinois, the daughter of Vivian and Fern Hubbs Smith. She married James Yancey on March 18, 1977, in Peoria, IL. The couple lived in Mountain Home since moving from East Peoria, IL in 1994. She was a member of the Christ Community Church of Mountain Home. Peggy had a passion for sewing and quilting.

Peggy is survived by her son, William Buttrum of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Lori Enders of Vianne, IL; three brothers; five sisters; three grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and one brother.

A Funeral Service for Peggy will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Robert Wiesner officiating.
