Peter Rex Young

A Graveside Service for Peter Rex Young of Cotter, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, November 1, 2015, at Patton Cemetery, with Dr. Thomas Yoder officiating. Pallbearers will be Paul Benner, Charles Patton, Lyndal Benner, Jason Cottier, Spencer Smith and Richard Rey.
Peter passed away October 27, 2015, in Cotter, Arkansas at the age of 76. He was born April 13, 1939, in Logansport, Indiana, the son of Chalmers and Nora Perkins Young. He married Eileen Gannon on October 22, 1983, at Providence, Rhode Island and worked as an electrician. Peter had lived in Cotter for 40 years moving from Cass County, Indiana. He was a good friend to all and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Peter is survived by his son, Paul Benner, Jr. of Cotter, AR; two daughters, Danielle (Charles) Benner Patton of Cotter, AR and Mary Jean Benner of Atwater, CA; brother, Terry (Judith) Young and sister, Patsy Kirkland of Harrison, AR.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brothers, Jerry, Tom and Jim Young.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
