Services for Phillip "Phil" Tramz of Mountain Home, Arkansas,will be Private. Mr. Tramz died Wednesday, February 10, 2010, at the age of 86 years, 9 months and 20 days. Phil was born April 20, 1923 in Viginia, Minnesota, son of Emil and Lettie Jamison Tramz.
He was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy, and worked as a newspaper printer for major newspapers across the country, including the Chicago Sun-Times.
Phil was a great storyteller; he loved music - he sang, played guitar and harmonica, and was once in a traveling band. He was raised in the Lutheran faith and had an abiding relationship with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He had a great sense of humor, collected model trains, was a funny and creative guy, and he wanted nothing more than to have a cabin and go fishing with his best buddy, Joe.
Phillip Tramz is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Tramz of Palo Alto, California; his nephew Steven Tramz of Sherman Oaks, California; and his good friends Lyell and Rhonda McCann of Mountain Home and their children April McCann and his best buddy, Joe McCann.
