Phyllis F. Carlson

Phyllis Faye Carlson, 82, of Salesville, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023 with her family by her side.
Phyllis was born on March 18, 1941 in Gilby, North Dakota. She was the second child of three to Norman and Mabel Arnberger. She graduated as the class valedictorian from Gilby High School in 1959. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Medical Technology in 1962 from Jamestown College in Jamestown, North Dakota.
Phyllis married Roger Carlson, from Forest River, North Dakota, on November 30, 1962. After many moves, they finally settled down in the Mountain Home area in 1989. She is survived by her husband, Roger and her two children, daughter, Brooke Dinger, her husband David, and son, Jared Carlson, his wife Sharon Carlson; four grandchildren, Mitchell Dinger, Molly Dinger, Cayde Carlson, and Lauren Carlson; and two step-grandchildren, Cortney and Kaiti Langley. She is also survived by her younger brother, Neil Arnberger and his wife Lucinda Arnberger, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her older sister, Norma Nelson.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Phyllis on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Norfork United Methodist Church, Blevins Street and 1st Street, Norfork, Arkansas, 72658. In lieu of sending flowers, please make donations in Phyllis’s name to the Food Bank of North Central Arkansas, 1042 Highland Circle, Mountain Home, AR 72653.
