Preben Jensen

Services for Preben Vilhelm "Jan" Jensen of Yellville, Arkansas, will be private. Jan passed away September 2, 2012, in Yellville, Arkansas at the age of 82. He was born February 18, 1930, in Aarhaus, Denmark, the son of Karl and Marie Jespersen Jensen. He worked as a Senior Master Electrician for Hunt's Foods in California. Jan was a veteran of the Merchant Marines and U.S. Army, serving in Korea and Vietnam. He was a member of the 101st. Airborne, 82nd Airborne and 187th Regimental Combat Team. He was able to speak eight different languages. Jan lived in Yellville, Arkansas since February 2009 moving from Kentucky. He loved fishing, horse racing and traveling. Jan is survived by his 3 sons, Steve Jenson of Yellville, AR, Christopher Jensen of Yellville, AR and Mark Jensen; 2 daughters, Stephanie Seipp of Orange County, CA and Bambi Jensen; 6 grandchildren, Cheryl, Casey and Jimmy Jensen and Jason, Robbie and Katie Seipp; and special friends, Gill Gates and his wife of Microsoft, Richard "Dick" Petty of Pro NASCAR Racing and John and Jenny Michalak. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be made to the family at First Federal Bank of Yellville in care of Steve Jensen. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
