Ruth "Jane" Kenney, 78, passed away Tuesday July 30, 2013, in Mountain Home, AR. Family services will be private with entombment in Kirby Tucker's Cemetery Mausoleum.
Jane was born July 22, 1935, at Hardwick, VT to Alan and Ethel Larrabee Chaples. She married her childhood sweetheart, Michael Kenney, April 14, 1954, and began her life as a United States Army wife, and after 20 years, persued and excelled in a career in Real Estate. Jane was a small town girl, but a world class traveler. She loved sailing, scuba diving as well as many other adventures. Jane will be remembered as one of the nicest people you will ever meet. Her friends at Bull Shoals TOPS and her fellow Bull Shoals Red Hat members will miss her. One of Jane’s proudest accomplishments was educating children against drug use, as Mimi the Clown.
Jane is survived by her husband of 59 years, Michael Kenney of Fairview, AR; son, Mike Kenney of Davie, FL; daughters Kathy Kenney of Bull Shoals, AR and Connie Kenney of Flippin, AR; five grandchildren, Isaac Rodewald, Brian Stokes, Shauna Bolding, Erica Johnson, and Sean Kenney and two great-grandchildren Madison Bolding and Konner Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Jane will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, Jane would have wanted donations made to the Wounded Warriors Fund.
