Memorial Services for Ralph Harris Stanton of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Randy Ludwig officiating. He died Monday, June 6, 2011 at Good Samaritan Village, at the age of 81. Ralph was born November 30, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan, the son of Elmer E. and Ada L. (Hartmus) Stanton. Ralph was an electrician in the Navy, and worked in the sign business the rest of his life. He founded Stanford Signs in Chula Vista, California. After retiring, he moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas and founded Stanford Signs in Arkansas, where he constructed roadside billboards. He is survived by daughter Carron Bergeron (Jim) of Imperial Beach, CA, grandchildren Sherelle, Debbrah, Shannon, and Craigg, great grandchild Donnovan, daughter Lynn (Rick) Gosnell of Yelm, WA, grandchildren Mark, Megan, Kristen, and Tammie, son Glenn Stanton of Imperial Beach, CA, sister Sharon Turner, and first wife Ellen Stanton of Yelm, WA, with whom he remained friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Betty, and three sisters. Arrangements are by Kirby & Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
