A Memorial Service for Ramona Ione McDonald of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, with Pastor Richard Jebsen officiating.
Ramona passed away July 20, 2015, in Gassville, Arkansas at the age of 82. She was born November 15, 1932, in Sturgis, South Dakota, the daughter of Clarence and Ruby Aga Harrison. She married A.B. "Mac" McDonald on June 5, 1964, in Sturgis, SD and moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas. Romona owned and operated The Sunflower Shop as a florist and also worked as a substitute teacher. Ramona loved to sing with the choral society and the church choir, travel, crochet, and spend time with her family.
Ramona is survived by her son, Timothy (Darlene) McDonald of Rockport, IN; daughter, Barbara (Donald) Dennis of Mountain Home, AR; son, Gerald "Jerry" (Kim) McDonald of Mountain Home, AR; son, Dale McDonald of Mountain Home, AR; son, Robert "Sean" (Inger) McDonald of Frisco, CO; grandchildren, Gregory, Amanda, Jason, Stormy, Alex, Jaden, Mitchell, Angus and Lindsey, great-grandchildren, Eli, Graham, Piper and Delaney, brother, Pastor Dale (Delores) Harrison of Eau Claire, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, A.B. "Mac" McDonald, and two sons, Stephen and Michael McDonald.
Burial will be private in the Mountain Home Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of North Arkansas or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
