A Memorial Service for Ray Kenneth Hollis, Sr. of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 25, 2017, at the First Baptist Church of Salem.
Ray passed away April 15, 2017, in Salem, Arkansas at the age of 88. He was born December 23, 1928, in Clovis, New Mexico, the son of Omer and Dollie Attaway Hollis. He married Julia Youngblood on March 27, 1947, at Reno, NV and was a sheet metal worker. After moving from California in 1967, he had a small cattle farm in Camp, AR. He then retired to Horseshoe Bend in 2002. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 418 in Salem, AR. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Ray is survived by his wife, Julia Hollis of Horseshoe Bend, AR; two sons, Ray (Jo) Hollis, Jr. of Horseshoe Bend, AR, and Phillip Hollis of Camp, AR; and six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jerry and Raymond; and sister, Betty Vale.
Inurnment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
