Raymond Branick

Visitation for Raymond Vincent Branick of Oakland, Arkansas, will be 5:00 - 8:00 pm, Friday, January 11, 2013, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Raymond passed away January 7, 2013, in Gainesville, Missouri at the age of 72. He was born August 1, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Raymond and Irene Hogan Branick, Sr. He married Sara McPherson on August 26, 1961, at Chicago, Illinois and worked as a Telephone Installer for Lucent Technologies. He retired after 32 years of service. Raymond was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and Air Force veteran. Raymond lived in Oakland, since 1994 moving from Carol Stream, Illinois. He was a former member of the Elks and Eagles. He was a Telephone Pioneer. He was also a volunteer fireman on the Oakland/Promise Land Fire Department for a number of years before his illness. Raymond was the beloved husband of Sara Branick of Oakland, AR, and the father of four daughters, Debbie Bray, Cindy McLaren, Lori Hazelwood and Patty (Paul) Daly. He was the grandfather to ten grandchildren, Sarah and Lauren Kirk, Kevin Riggs, Jamie Riggs Hand, Todd and Elaina Hazelwood and Olivia, Maggee and Hogan Daly and five great-grandchildren, Bradley, Madyson, Christopher and Michael Riggs and William Hand. He is also survived by his sister, Phyllis Branick. Preceding him in death was his mother, father, and his grandson, Timothy Riggs. Burial will be in the Arlington Heights Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association at https://donate.americanheart.org .
