Raymond Jones

Raymond Jones died Saturday January 12th. He was 57 years old. Raymond was born November 11, 1950 at Gassville, Arkansas to Solomon and Trilba Jones. He married Shirley A. Leighty at Bull Shoals, Arkansas on January 10, 1970. He was a miner in the gravel industry working for Guy King and Sons for 38 years. Raymond loved to hunt and fish with his family and his faithful companion Spike. He was a loyal husband, devoted father, loving son, terrific brother, great friend and a hard worker. He was always ready to lend a helping hand. Survivors: his wife, Shirley Jones, daughter, Sheri Jones (fiance, Scott Lewis) of Gassville, Arkansas, sons, Raymond Jones of Lakeview, Arkansas and Randy Jones(Christa) of Gassville, Arkansas, parents Solomon and Trilba Jones of Gassville, Arkansas, brothers, Vernon Ray Jones (Linda), Leonard Ray Jones (Verna), Louie (Lunnie) Franks (Joyce), and Jimmy Franks all of Gassville, Arkansas, sisters Della Faye Phillips (Wilbur) of Jacksonville, Florida, Linday May Davis (James) of Huntland, Tennessee, and Edna Pauline Hollingsworth(Jay) of Gassville, Arkansas, grandsons Tyler and Logan Jones. Preceded in Death by: 1 daughter Melissa Leighty, 1 brother Lotus Franks and sister Mary Louis Frost. Visitation: Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Thursday January 17, 2008 at Kirby and Family Funeral Home in Bull Shoals. Funeral: A funeral service for Raymond D Jones of Lakeview, Arkansas will be at 10 AM Friday, January 18, 2008 at Bull Shoals United Methodist Church with the Reverend James Barton Officiating.
