Paymond H. Pethunis was born February 15, 1922 in Chicago, Illinois. He was the son of Peter and Elizabeth Pethunis. He married Mary Catherine Hyland on September 17, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Pethunis retired December 1982 from General Motors and was a United Automobile member of Local 558 in Justice, Illinois. He served in World War II, Company F, 301st, 94th Infantry Division. He had life membership in the 94th Division Association, and attended forty of their annual reunions. He made two trips to Europe with the Association touring the areas where they fought. As a young man he played on four baseball teams, the 94th, VFW, Moose and Company. He enjoyed bowling, golf, hockey and RV traveling. Raymond H. Pethunis passed away at his residence at the age of 83 years, 5 months and 24 days. Pethunis of Mountain Home, Arkansas will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 13, 2005 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church with Reverend Wilfred Okorochukwu as celebrant.
