A funeral service for Reba B. Hughes of Mountain Home, will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 18, 2012, at Kirby and Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Max Pyron officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. May 17, 2012, at Kirby Funeral Home Chapel. Reba passed away Saturday, May 12, 2012, in Mountain Home, at the age of 89. She was born November 9, 1922, in Paragould, AR, the daughter of William F. and Louiza McDaniel Barron. She married Richard L. Johnson in 1952 in Jonesboro and after his death she married Roy Hughes in 1980, at Mountain Home. Reba worked as a Teacher, Secretary, and a Bookkeeper in her working years in Jonesboro and Mountain Home. She has lived in Mountain Home, since 1962 moving from Jonesboro. Reba was a member of Retired Teachers, Beta Sigma Phi, Tau Gamma Gamma, BRMC Hospital Auxillary, Twin Lakes Golf Club and the First Baptist Church. Reba is survived by one daughter; Ann (Wayne) Nichols of Fort Worth, TX, 4 grandchildren; Elliott, Ethan, Sara, and Seth Nichols, 1 great granddaughter; Ava Gonzalez, 2 stepsons; David (Georgia) Hughes of Clearlake, CA, Don (Betty) Hughes of Monroe, NC, one step daughter; Lana (Lars) Lundin of Camarillo, CA and 3 step grandchldren; Lisa and Erik Lundin and Niki Hughes. She was preceded in death by her parents and two husbands. Entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Baxter Regional Medical Center Auxiliary.
