Richard Akins of Price Place, Arkansas, passed away December 28, 2021, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 84. He was born March 11, 1937, in Cotter, Arkansas, the son of Charles and Edith (Patterson) Akins. Richard worked in micro plastics creating tools. He also bought and developed land in the area for many years. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and hunting.
Richard is survived by his daughter-in-law, Lynne Akins; son, Richard Chromiak; daughter, Kellee Akins; one brother, Joseph May; six grandchildren, Aaron Akins, Dylan Akins, Jana Gaston, Shannon Chromiak, Justin Hughlette, Stephan Tetlow; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Edith (Patterson) Akins; son, Joseph Akins; and sisters, Paulina, Linda, and Janice.
