Services for Richard Wayne Carr of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be private. Richard passed away September 20, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 82. He was born November 18, 1929, in Berwyn, Illinois the son of Maurice and Bessie Foster Carr. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and worked as a teacher for the Berwyn School District. Richard lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1992, moving from Berwyn, Illinois. He was a member of the Barber Shop Quartet and enjoyed fishing, astronomy, music, singing and woodworking. Richard is survived by his 3 daughters, Alicia (Raymond) Bailey of McHenry, IL, Amy Carr of Harvard, IL and Deborah (Glenn) Hotze of Lake Barrington, IL; 2 sisters, Kathleen Cech of Mountain Home, AR and Betty Johnstone of Summerville, SC; and 1 brother, Robert (Gloria) Carr of Woodstock, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, Jack Carr. Memorials may be made to Donald W. Reynolds Library, 300 Library Hill, Mountain Home, AR 72653.
