Richard Cook

Richard Cook, Sr. died Tuesday, March 25, 2008 in Yellville at the age of 59. He was born Wednesday, June 23, 1948 in DesPlaines, Illinois, the son of Wilfred and Margaret Gillespie Cook. He married Nancy Berkshire on June 25, 1966 at Lombard, Illinois and worked as a machine operator for Micro Plastics. Richard lived in Yellville since 1979 moving from Elgin, Illinois. He enjoyed watching dragster racing, spoiling the grandkids, and riding his Murray Tractor. Survivors: Richard Cook, Sr. is survived by his wife, Nancy Cook and son, Richard (Tracy) Cook, Jr of Yellville, AR, 4 daughters, Jill (Tom) Chentnik of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Melissa (Lance) Zajic of Tulsa, OK, Rhonda (Justin) Martinez of Tulsa, OK, and Shari (Jake) Sharp of Thorton, CO, 3 brothers, Howard Cook, Illinois, Ron Cook, Illinois and Mike Cook, Illinois, sister, Loretta Poulin, Illinois, 8 grandchildren Tara Baxter, Deryn & Andria Martinez, Lauren Chentnik, Logan Cook, Averie Cantrell, Andrew & Emily Sharp and very special friend Robert Duff, Norfork, AR. Preceded in Death by: He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Wilfred Frederick Cook. Visitation: Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M., Friday, March 28 at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral: Funeral Service for Richard Vivin Cook, Sr. of Yellville, AR, will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Kirby & Family Fneral Home Chapel, with Reverend Tom Williams, officiating.
